Introducing... Catherine Keith!
Hey there, lovely readers and fellow bookworms,
I'm Catherine Keith, aspiring author, and I'm thrilled you found my newsletter!
Who Am I?
My passions in life are story telling, creativity, and math! Yes, you read that right—math! By day, I'm a data scientist and engineer, crunching numbers and writing code, which has given me an incredibly unique perspective from which to learn storytelling.
I’ve wanted to be an author for as long as I could remember and, after many failed attempts, I decided to dedicate a full year to learning story structure and story science from the ground up. I learned so much and I’m stoked to share what I know with you here. (I’m also on Instagram and Facebook!)
What Can You Learn from Me?
In addition to a logic-based approach to storytelling, from outline to final draft, I’m also very interested in A) the world of publishing, both traditional and indie, and B) how to live a balanced, healthy, and productive creative life. Subscribe for more on these topics!
What Am I Writing?
I’m currently working through Draft 3 of my debut WIP Project Gloves. It’s a two-book romantic suspense series set in the early 2000s rural Midwest, with expected publication of the first book in Spring/Summer 2025. My heart and soul have been wrapped up in this story for almost seven years and I know you’ll love it too, so be sure to watch this space to see how the journey to publication progresses!
In summary, here’s what you can expect from this newsletter:
My notes on storytelling, authorship, and publishing from a science-based perspective
My musings on living a happy and fulfilling creative life
And, of course, updates on my books and writing progress, including Project Gloves!
Thank you for being here—your presence adds magic to this journey.
Feel free to share your thoughts, questions, and feedback below and stay tuned for more updates, musings, and the big reveal of Project Gloves. Until then, grab a cozy spot, crack open a book, and let's lose ourselves in the magic of storytelling!
Warmly,
Catherine Keith
